Corisa is going into her 5th year teaching FSL, Music and Planning Time. She has taught for the Simcoe County District School Board including French Immersion, Grade 4-8 Core French and a variety of Planning Time Subjects. Corisa is a coach and teacher lead for Leadership Club, Eco Team and Robotics. As a Planning Time teacher, these opportunities to further connect with students is critical to deepening student relationships.

 

Corisa prioritizes play and game based learning in the classroom and is passionate about student directed learning. Her experiences of student engagement with play are highly positive and have inspired the direction of research to explore the play experience for adults. Her own play experiences and examination of her work and personal life have improved Corisa's mental health, inspiration and creativity. This experience has inspired the construction of the site, with the hopes of a space for adults to explore and bring play back into their lives.
